Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the booking and provision of ceremony and healing services by Edel Garvey ("we", "us") to clients ("you"). By making an enquiry, paying a deposit or booking a session, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We offer wedding ceremonies (legally binding under the Civil Registration Act 2004 where Edel acts as solemniser), naming ceremonies, vow renewals, handfastings, and house blessing ceremonies, and one-to-one or group sound, Akashic and energy healing sessions.
2. Booking and deposits
A booking is confirmed only when a deposit has been received and a written confirmation has been sent. The deposit secures your date and is deducted from the final fee. Until the deposit is received, the date remains available to other clients.
3. Fees and payment
Fees are agreed at the point of booking and confirmed in writing. The remaining balance is payable in line with the schedule communicated at booking, and at the latest fourteen (14) days before the date of the ceremony or session, unless otherwise agreed.
4. Cancellation by the client
- Deposits are non-refundable, as they cover preparation work and the holding of the date.
- Cancellations made more than sixty (60) days before the date: balance refunded in full.
- Cancellations made between sixty (60) and fourteen (14) days before the date: 50% of the balance is refunded.
- Cancellations made within fourteen (14) days of the date: no refund of the balance.
5. Postponement
Where you need to postpone a ceremony, we will use reasonable efforts to offer an alternative date within twelve (12) months at no additional fee. Where the requested new date is not available, sections 4 above apply.
6. Cancellation by us
If, due to illness or other circumstances beyond our control, we cannot perform a confirmed ceremony or session, we will offer a full refund of all sums paid, or — where you prefer — assist in finding a suitable replacement practitioner. Our liability is strictly limited to the sums paid by you for the affected service.
7. Legally binding marriages
For weddings where Edel acts as solemniser, you remain responsible for completing all steps required by Irish civil registration law, including notifying the Registrar at least three (3) months before the ceremony and providing valid identification. We will guide you through the process but cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by incomplete or late submissions to the Registrar.
8. Healing sessions
Healing services are complementary and do not replace medical care. You are responsible for informing us, in confidence, of any condition that may be relevant to your safety or comfort during a session.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that service.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Irish law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
